Skin Protection
Tips
With summer here and many fun filled days ahead of us at pools,
beaches and rivers, we have to remember to protect ourselves from the
sun's damaging ultraviolet rays. Not only does it take a toll
on our skin, but it's the most common cause of premature aging.
Following
are several tips to keep you and yours safe, while enjoying outdoor
activities
this summer.
Sunscreen -
Always use the highest SPF available. Make sure it's
applied at least 20 minutes prior to exposure and reapplied
every two hours when in, or around water. Waterproof SPF
is even better.
Don't Forget about your Eyes - Sunglasses are a great way to compliment your attire
and help keep UV rays away. They also help to
prevent those pesty wrinkles from appearing
when squinting from the bright outdoors.
Cover Up
- Consider purchasing clothing, umbrellas,
hats and bathing suits with SPF
protection. Years from now, you'll be happy you
did.
Peak Hours - The
sun is at its strongest between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. So take
extra precaution between those hours.
The Sun doesn't Discriminate - Whether young or old, damage can occur at
any age. Stay safe and
protected.
Now
that you're ready for outdoor fun, think of North Star when
planning your next temporary housing stay in one of our many sunny
locations!
