Many of us start off with grandiose goals, not realizing that success requires consistent dedication and commitment.  That's probably why elliptical machines are never available in gyms in January and their popularity begins to fade in February. It's not that we don't want to succeed or aren't capable; it's just we end up neglecting our "resolution" time towards something or someone else. As we all know, when duties or responsibilities call, we're usually there. Therefore, I propose making 2012 the year of realistic, achievable goals. So, instead of declaring that you'll work out at the gym every day, consider changing your lifestyle. Stairs will take you to the same place that an elevator will and baby steps will eventually lead to success.               Tasty Collard Greens By: ANADRI "A classic recipe for collard greens that uses smoked turkey to add some flavor. Greens are simmered in chicken stock, then spiced with a dash of red chile flakes." Original Recipe Yield 10 servings Ingredients 1/4 cup olive oil 2 tablespoons minced garlic 5 cups chicken stock 1 smoked turkey drumstick 5 bunches collard greens - rinsed, trimmed and chopped salt and black pepper to taste 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional) Directions Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic, and gently saute until light brown. Pour in the chicken stock, and add the turkey leg. Cover the pot, and simmer for 30 minutes. Add the collard greens to the cooking pot, and turn the heat up to medium-high. Let the greens cook down for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook until the greens are tender and dark green, 45 to 60 minutes. Drain greens, reserving liquid. Mix in red pepper flakes if desired. Use liquid to reheat leftovers. Our corporate housing is national.  Our customer service performance is unprecedented.  Our specialty is '4 star accommodations at a twinkle of the cost'.  We are outstanding at what we do...   321-327-7222 Welcome to North Star Corporate Housing's November Newsletter!   November - A Perfect Month for Thanks It's hard to believe the Holidays are here again.  Life seems to have accelerated this year and the hustle and bustle of the season is upon us.  So before all of the cooking, shopping and celebrating begins, we wanted to take a few minutes to thank you all for relying on North Star for your temporary housing needs and to let you know how much we appreciate you and your business.      Many thanks to you all for your continued support!  Happy Holidays!!           Renee's Pumpkin Roll Up CAKE                                                          FILLING 1 C. sugar                                                   1 C. powerd sugar 2/3 C. cooked pumpkin                                1/2 tsp vanilla 3/4 C. flour                                                 2 T. butter 1/2 tsp. cinnamon                                        8 oz. cream cheese 1 tsp. baking soda 3 eggs 1/2 C. powerded sugar Cake:  Combine cake mix ingredients, except powdered sugar; mix well.  Cover a 12" x 15" cookie sheet with waxed paper and pour cake mix on top.  Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.  Sprinkle 1/2 cup powdered sugar onto a towel.  Flip cake over onto sugared towel.  Remove waxed paper and roll cake up in towel.  Unroll cake when cool.  Filling:  Mix filling ingredients.  Spread evenly onto unrolled cake.  Reroll.  Top with powdered sugar.  Serve chilled. Enjoy!!  North Star Corporate Housing is the ideal choice for Business and Leisure Travelers throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, Hawaii and Alaska.  Our accommodations are pet friendly and perfect for extended stays of 30 days or longer for both you and your companions.
